Speaking Opportunities
Award-winning Author Marybeth Lorbiecki, M.A., energizes youth and adult audiences with her passion for her subjects ... and for the audience themselves. She believes in them, and in our power to engage ourselves in new ideas and the world around us. She helps audiences see connections between ideas and their own lives and inspires them to act in new ways. She particularly believes in children and young adults, knowing they are our future--she has written and spoken to them for twenty years, creating dynamic books that engage their minds and hearts.
Lorbiecki is currently working on a book on the Appalachian activist against climate change and mountaintop removal coal mining--Larry Gibson and his brave colleagues. "The Biggest Man on the Mountain." She loves ideas and tracking down information--historical, literary, and scientific-- and making the stories they reveal come alive for those in her audiences. She has researched and written compelling books for adults and children, with a particular focus on our relationships with the natural world and each other.
